Chocolate Banana "Cigars"

August 03, 2009 by my1stwordwaschocolate

I'm a big fan of having puff pastry or filo dough in the freezer for a quick dessert. We had family over last night and I whipped up this chocolate banana concoction in just a few minutes. Here's what I did:

3-4 sheets of filo with butter brushed in between each sheet. Cut into four even rectangles. Next place 3 or 4 slices of ripe banana, chocolate chips and a sprinkling of cinnamon on the rectangle. Wrap the dough tightly into a cigar shape. Bake at 375 until golden brown. I sprinkled the a little more cinnamon before serving. It turned out to be a nice summertime dessert.
